Response to Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz's remark on smokers

To: news@nstp.com.my

I read the article "Nazri hits out at Pas over smoking
remark" with disgust but also with a little bit of
humor. His remark on smokers is an injustice to non-
smokers in general as smokers are selfish and their
act are affecting others directly in terms of health
and indirectly in terms of their tax money are being
spent for anti-smoking campaign that failed.

As a respected person and a member of the parliament,
he should do justice above all to his constituencies
and also support the anti-smoking campaign championed
by his own "Boss" the Prime Minister.

Perhaps that is why the "Tak-nak" campaign ran into a
wall due to being unpopular among the majority of die
hard smokers and also lackadaisical support from the
government agents themselves, namely the member of
parliament.

YB Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz is known for his ever popular
foolish remarks in the parliament and lambasting the
Opposition for their critical statements. It is funny
that, just because the good idea to not vote in
smokers as leaders came from the Opposition, he is
quick to criticize the idea. It is time that Datuk
Seri come up with original ideas that is worth to be
considered by the public instead of coming up with
more rude insult.

I am sure many members of the public would not want a
selfish nicotine addict who disregards their own
health as well as others around them being voted to
represent them in the parliament.
